At the
Big Sky Farmer's Market! The Big Sky Market is every Wednesday evening from 5-8pm at the Town Center. There's always music, food, arts and crafts, and lots of folks to meet and catch up with. I'll plan to see you there!

Wild Bear goes to the Bulls
The beginning of August saw the first ever
Professional Bull Rider's competition in Big Sky. If you went, you know that it was an incredibly good time. If you didn't go, you are required to put it on your calendar for next summer. There were big, wild bulls, buckles the size of Saturn, hunky cowboys, music and dancing, and pretty much anything else that sounds like a good time.
PBR also had a half-time Muttin Bustin' competition (thanks to
Moonlight Basin for sponsoring it!) - check out some
photos of the wild muttin bustin'. This event is fabulously entertaining, with little kids (3-7 years old) hanging on for dear life as they ride a sheep from point A to point B. I'm happy to announce that Caleb Anderson, age 3 (!), was the champion - he even played it up for the crowd with a huge grin and wave. And what did he get for his Muttin Bustin' skills? A special Wild Bear champion buckle. Congrats to Caleb!!

Montana S.L.A.M.s
August also brought the
inaugural S.L.A.M. festival to Bozeman on August 6th and 7th. SLAM -
Supporting Local Artists & Musicians - was two days of free music, entertainment, eats, and art. Everything was Montana Made and Montana Raised. Some of my favorites included crazy break dancing demos, fancy hair feathers, and
Wendy Marquis's paintings of classic trucks and Montana scenes.

Wild Bear had a booth and I had a great time meeting folks from near and far and sending many a buckle out into the world for a great adventure.
